| Customer Reviews: New enemies October 27, 2009 T. R. Alexander (East Anglia, UK) This volume of the Bleach anime begins the series first filler arc and while there is a slight dip in the quality of the story it is still relatively entertaining. The eight episodes in this volume see Ichigo and his friends deal with three mysterious beings who seem intent on playing games with them and all the while other strange forces are active in the world of the living.
As I have already said this volume does see a slight dip in the quality of Bleach but it is still reasonably entertaining and is much better than the filler in some other anime series. The plot itself looks interesting and some of the new characters introduced range from the annoying to the intriguing. The animation and voice acting are both on a par with the rest of the series and although it is never going to be better than the shows proper storyline the plot is definitely intriguing.
Bount to impress October 13, 2009 Alan D. Hardman (Manc, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
With the Soul Society Arc finnished with and the actual story of Bleach not far in front, the producers of the Anime needed to give Kubo Tite time to get more chapters of the Manga out before continuing the story, thus the beginning of the 'Filler' Arcs, with this being named as the Bount Arc.
The story revolves around two of the main cast more than anything else, Ichigo and Ishida, with the story focusing of Ishida's attempts to hide the loss of his powers in his battle with Captain Kurotsuchi.
The story revolves around the beings called Bounts,-humans who eat the livings souls-and their attempt to wreak havoc in Soul Society, in comparison to the overall story, it does fall short with less time on some of the human character, but if you are either an Ichigo fan(and who isn't?) or an Ishida fan(again, who isn't?) than this season of Bleach is the one for you.
There's plenty of fighting to be seen, far more use of Ichigo's Bankai and more of a look into Ichigo's Mask.
wrapping it and enter the filler June 21, 2009 kmania (halifax uk) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
this series wraps up the soul society arc in a neat little bow (with a nice light hearted final episode) unfortunately after that you enter the bount arc which is for the most part a filler if you don't know what that is it is were the story contains all the original elements but it was originally meant to buy time for the writers so although good(ish) it has very little to do with the overall story so don't get me wrong you should watch it but don't expect it to be as good as season 2/3 so you can skip this and not think what did i miss but the fillers can become boring and slightly cliched
