| Customer Reviews: Episode number August 31, 2010 Lukey p There isnt a problem with episode number stated they are counting from series one of naruto unleashed not the start of this series
The race to save Gaara August 17, 2010 T. R. Alexander (East Anglia, UK) This second box set of the `Naruto Shippuden' series contains a further thirteen episodes and they all continue to be far better than anything the original `Naruto' anime produced. The episodes in this volume see Team Kakashi and Team Guy fight their way to the hideout of the Akatsuki only to be confronted by Deidara and Sasori. With Team Guy involved in their own battles it is left to Naruto and Kakashi to fight Deidara while Sakura and Granny Chiyo face off against the puppet master Sasori.
By far the highlight of this box set is the Sasori vs. Chiyo and Sakura battle. This fight is easily my favourite from the entire Naruto series and Sasori (my favourite character of all the Akatsuki) is an interesting and powerful opponent. The episodes here give a bit more information on Sasori's background than is given in the original manga and this expansion of the character is quite nice.
The main problem with the episodes in this set is the same one that has plagued the `Naruto' anime from the beginning, the habit of drawing things out as much as possible by repeating things and cutting away from the action. This habit does lead to a rather humorous instance were a three minute time limit is stretched out over three episodes.
Other than this thought the series continues to be very entertaining with some very nice animation and the set is well worth a full five stars.
Amazing series June 25, 2010 Mr. Michael R. Hobson (Childwall, Liverpool, UK) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is my first review on Amazon.
Since the 2002 Shonen Jump Naruto series, it has developed into one of gripping action and tragedy swiftly tied into neat 20 minute episodes. The storyline is continuous and rarely leaks 'filler' episodes into the mix that made the original series fragmented and confusing.
A genuinely fantastic purchase by myself and recommended for the budding manga fan/
I also noticed a problem with the title of this dvd, all box sets are 13 episodes long and being the 2nd box set, is unlikely to have episodes 234-246 as the current series in Japan has only just hit 166. This box set will contain episodes 14-27.
