| Customer Reviews: Naruto Unleashed - Series 9 - The Final Episodes [DVD] July 27, 2010 C. Pickard (England) This series of Naruto is only 12 episodes long, as it is the last in the Naruto Unleashed series there is a sense of timing up loose ends and preparing you for the next step. The season concludes with a string of well thought out fight scenes, which shows of the character development. All in all season nine is pretty good despite it being short.
Hurray end of the fillers. July 8, 2010 charmed i'm sure (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
At last the fillers come to an end and the real Naruto can continue it seems like an age but its over with this box set now that's not to say this is a bad example of the filler arc, indeed i think its better than most of the others,i think its if you're a fan you know whats round the corner and frankly this and the other filler arc's are a pale imitation of whats to come.
So buy it if you've been collecting them as i have if not maybe save your cash for something else.

This final instalment of the `Naruto' anime contains the last twelve episodes of the series, ending the first past of the `Naruto' series. The episodes in this series basically fall into three storylines. The first sees Naruto, Sakura and Lee escorting a prisoner to trial only for the prisoner's comrades to come to get him. The second storyline sees Naruto discovering a boy with amnesia and trying to recover his memories. The final storyline focuses on the Sand Siblings more than the Leaf village as someone sets their sights on Gaara.
The episodes of this final set, despite being filler, are all good episodes that are entertaining even if they are not as good as the proper story. The animation is a bit ropy in places but it defiantly isn't the worst that the series has produced. Of the storylines in this set, the final one focussing on Gaara is my favourite but then Gaara is one of my favourite characters from the series.
Overall this is a reasonably good end to a series that has been terribly inconsistent in places and I cannot wait for the continuation of the story in the Naruto Shippuden series.
